August 2015 Wrap-Up!

My reading month of August wasn't the best... but it certainly wasn't the worst, so I'm not too upset about it. Plus, I did a lot of re-reading, which I don't usually do so that's a pro. Enough babbling, let's just get into it, shall we?

1. One - Sarah Crossan
This was such an intense book, I was shocked. I didn't expect it to have the feels I did. I didn't expect to cry so much. I didn't realise it was a 'cry your eyes out' type of book and maybe it's not. But it hit me really hard and I kind of loved that. I enjoyed this book a lot, and the fact that it's so different and emotional just made it a whole lot better than I ever expected.

2. Say Her Name - James Dawson
This book scared me. It really did (I guess that's not hard though..!) but it's creepy. If you want a creepy book, I recommend this. I love scary/creepy books and this is the first I've read. I did have some issues with it, but who doesn't have one or two issues with a book. I enjoyed it, I had fun, I stayed awake all night because I was too scared to sleep hahahaha!

3. Into Darkness - Hayley Barrett
I did like this book, just a lot less than I liked the previous books. I would continue with the series because I'm intrigued to see what's going to happen next but I did find some parts of the book irrelevant, and well.. just pointless.

4. Harry Potter and the..... Books 1-4
I don't need to say anything. I love these, these are re-reads, they're perfect. Go read them if you haven't already... or even just go and re-read them again. They are life.

So that concludes my wrap-up, this month was a little bit of a mess and I'm not sure September will be any better. But I'm hoping and praying that it is because I have a shit-ton of ARCs to read!

How was your reading month?

  2. I feel like August must be "re-read Harry Potter month" because I started re-reading them too! Although I have only finished the first one so far!

  3. I basically only managed to read short stories as I've been in a reading slump!

  4. August wasn't s good reading month for me either. Most of the book fell flat for me.

  5. I've been rereading Harry Potter for a while now, intermittently alongside other reads so its a process, but rereading is always fun.

I managed to complete four books this month, which isn't too shabby.

    Happy Reading in September!
